Middle aged men that never married.

old-man-and-young-woman On recent news, actor Jeff Goldblum ( o.g spider man) at the age of 60, is recently married and now expecting his first child..

Okay, I know people are waiting later in life to start their family, But wow, 60 yrs old. More and more I’m finding men that are in their late 40’s and early 50’s that have never been married or have any children. I polled my girlfriends and asked a few would they ever consider dating a man that has never committed to anyone or fathered a child. And like the sound of thunder clouds they all said “Hell no! something must be wrong with him.” So I posed the question to a male friend of mine that is 51 yrs old, never married and has no kids and this is what he said. “ There is nothing wrong with me. I just can’t find the one. And just for the record, younger women are no longer interested in dating men who are even just slightly (3-5 years) older than them. Theses days they want to date men 5-10 years younger than them. Women seem to be content with the fact that they are independentself-sufficient and have a career, with FWB (friends with benefits) that fulfills them and most don’t seem to be interested in truly finding a relationship. Run tell that. Boom!.

I must admit, I never really thought of these as issues that men faced at the age 40.

What’s your thoughts. Let’s get conversational.

  1. Well well well older men marrying young child bearing women; good luck with keeping up with the young wife and young kids. What a mess. What’s that song playing in the background it’s the Mighty O Jays “Money Money Money” can you say beneficiary, alamony or child support? Oh yea older women and younger men, I hear another song coming on; “its All About That Base”. Older men who won’t committ to marriage and have no children the word that comes to mind might be (selfish).
